Les sciences sociales et humaines sont de plus en plus une affaire européenne. Le numéro spécial "Comprendre les sciences sociales et humaines en Europe", de la revue en accès libre Serendipities, est l’une des premières publications à enquêter systématiquement sur les différents modes d’européanisation de et dans ces disciplines. Après une introduction générale des éditeurs, il contient des articles sur les associations européennes en sciences sociales, les revues européennes en SHS, les bases de données européennes, l’Institut universitaire européen, ainsi que trois articles sur les financements européens et la politique européenne de la recherche. Le numéro spécial se termine par un document collectif sur les indicateurs de l’internationalisation des SHS. La numero est le resultat du projet européen INTERCO-SSH.

The social and human sciences are an increasingly European affair. The special issue "Understanding the Social Sciences and Humanities in Europe" of the open access journal Serendipities, is one of the first publications to systematically inquire into the various modes of Europeanization in and of these disciplines. After a general Introduction of the editors, it contains articles on European Social Science Associations, European Journals in the SHS, European databases, the European University Institute, as well as three articles on European funding and European research policy. The special issue ends with a collective paper on Indicators of Internationalization of the SHS. The issue is a result of the European INTERCO-SSH project.
